Trailer Mechanic at Pros Mechanics

A leading transportation and logistics company in Buffalo NY is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join their maintenance team. This role is ideal for a technician with strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience repairing and maintaining dry vans reefers and flatbed trailers.Responsibilities:Perform inspections diagnostics and repairs on trailers and related componentsRepair and replace brakes suspensions axles landing gear air systems electrical wiring and lightingConduct preventative maintenance in accordance with DOT and company standardsTroubleshoot ABS systems air lines and structural damageComplete work orders accurately and maintain detailed service documentationEnsure safety compliance and maintain a clean organized work environmentQualifications:Proven experience as a Trailer Mechanic in the transportation or construction industry.Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.2 years of experience working as a trailer mechanic.Strong understanding of air brake systems electrical systems and trailer components.Ability to diagnose issues independently and work efficiently.Welding or fabrication experience is an asset.Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Valid drivers license and clean driving record.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive wages based on experience: $28 - $32/hr.Comprehensive benefits package including Health Life insurance 401k matching Profit Sharing PTO and Paid Holidays.Shift:Days shift 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday).
