This opportunity is also available for thosewho live close to any of our office locations.Job Summary:The Transportation Project Manager / Project Engineer (PE) will work closely with other engineers technical specialists and clients to successfully deliver innovative solutions for complex transportation infrastructure challenges. This is an exciting growth opportunity for a motivated person ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to our growing operations.Duties/Responsibilities:Using local or AASHTO standards oversee horizontal and vertical alignment roadway sections intersection layout and sight distance determination interchange layout utility plans traffic control plans signing and striping roadway drainage including hydraulic reports and right-of-way plansConduct planning studies modeling and hydraulic calculationsDevelop plans and specificationsPrepare Preliminary Engineering ReportsProvide support for project bidding and construction administrationMentor junior-level staffActively participate in business development lead generation and contribute to proposals presentations and other marketing documentsPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent project management skills and superb attention to detailAbility to support contract negotiation and executionComfortable developing project fees and estimatesDemonstrated success managing aggressive project schedulesAble to prioritize multiple projects and deadlinesCapable of working as part of a team or independentlyAbility to work successfully with experts in multiple disciplines with a range of approachesProficient with applicable software such as Microsoft Office Microsoft Project BlueBeam ArcGIS AutoCAD Microstation or other design software as appropriate and have the ability to participate in design and plan developmentEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldFive or more years of relevant professional experienceCurrent Professional Engineer licensure in Nevada Oregon and/or Idaho or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hireBenefits:Employee medical dental and vision insurance for employees and dependentsShort-term and long-term disability insuranceCompany paid life insurance with option to buy upSalary Advantage ProgramEmployee assistance program (EAP)Flexible spending account (FSA)Health savings account (HSA)401k match program & access to asset management servicesYear-end bonusCostco membershipPaid time off (PTO) and PTO sell back programPaid HolidaysParental LeaveTuition ReimbursementPaid day of community serviceWe are a mid-sized consulting firm providing water wastewater civil transportation and structural engineering services throughout the West including Oregon Washington Idaho Nevada and Utah.
