Job Description

InSync Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse for an exciting Travel Nursing job in Atlanta, GA. Shift: 3x8 hr days Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Pay: $2200 / Week

Registered Nurse job duties

While job duties may vary depending on the facility you work with, here are some common PACU RN responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall health, identifying and responding to any changes promptly.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous fluids as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
  • Document patients' medical histories, assessments, treatments, and progress accurately and promptly in electronic health records
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
  • Coordinate patient transfers to other departments or facilities as required, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, including Electronic Medical Record.
  • Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
