The Department of Psychology in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond invites applications for the full-time Trawick Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Psychology. Pending final approval of the Board of Trustees, the appointment will begin in the 2026-2027 academic year.Trawick Post-Doctoral Fellows engage in research, mentoring, and teaching. In collaboration with their faculty mentor, they conduct research projects and mentor undergraduate student researchers. Fellows teach two (2) courses in the department annually. As such, this fellowship is particularly suited to trainees who are seeking future positions in undergraduate-focused liberal arts environments.The fellowship will be mentored by Dr. Laura Knouse, whose current projects employ ecological momentary assessment and smartphone sensing to understand ADHD in adults. Other potential research opportunities include development, implementation, and dissemination of cognitive-behavioral therapy in ADHD; projects related to mindsets, stigma, and mental health; and cross-cultural projects in collaboration with Japanese scholars.Strong applicants for the position will have demonstrated interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduates, will have research interests aligned with those of the lab, and will possess training in administering and scoring clinical diagnostic interviews and helping to recruit and retain clinically diagnosed samples for research studies.
