Job Details Entry Newark OH Full Time High School $45000.00 - $45000.00 Salary/year Up to 50% Nonprofit - Social ServicesDescription Treatment Advocate:Behavioral Health Juvenile Justice - Licking CountyCompensation: $45000/yearJuvenile Justice Treatment Advocates with National Youth Advocate Program work in the community as part of an integral service team. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee this position works closely with youth family Probation Department and community partners providing advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.Working at NYAPGenerous Time off:22 Days of Paid Time Off 11 Paid Holidays Half Day Fridays during the summer!Health and Wellness: Comprehensive healthcare packages for you and your family; Paid Parental leaveProfessional Growth:CEUs ongoing training/education student loan repayment program and supervision hoursAnd So Much More: 401K and 401K Matching flexible hours mileage reimbursement phone allowanceResponsibilities Provides in-home supportive services transportation parenting education counseling community resource referral advocacy and other social service interventions to the youth and family meeting or exceeding established outcome thresholds on behalf of persons served. Travels daily to provide community-based services to and on behalf of youth and families in compliance with organizational contract and regulatory requirements. Identify resources and services in the community that may not be available through the internal service continuum. Participate in the development of the youth treatment/service plans with the client caregiver(s) referring agency caseworker significant family member(s) and natural support. Regularly review the goals progress and activities of the assigned youth. Actively and directly engage with the youth to meet service needs and goals/objectives of the treatment/service plan. Interact with the youth to develop a trusting supportive relationship while assisting the youth in achieving identified goals. Provides safety assessment crisis response and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served. Complete all relevant training on a timely basis as required by state contract and/or licensing agency standards. Complete all required documentation in a timely manner. Perform other duties as requested.Minimum Qualifications 21 years of age or older.GED or High School Diploma required. Associates Degree in social services with experience in child welfare is preferred. 2 years experience working directly with youth and families is preferred. A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours with afternoon and evening availability. Works well independently and as a team member. Multi-task efficiently and be flexible in all situations.
