About the Opportunity
Peak Dental Implants & Oral Surgery is opening a brand-new, purpose-built oral surgery practice in Windsor, Connecticut, led by an established oral and maxillofacial surgeon. As part of our founding team, we are seeking a Treatment Coordinator who will play a central role in supporting both patient care and front office operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, explaining treatment and financial details, answering phones, and supporting check-in and check-out to ensure every visit runs smoothly from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming, professional experience from first phone call through check‑out
- Answer phones promptly and communicate with patients, referring offices, and team members in person, by phone, and electronically
- Coordinate patient care by understanding provider treatment recommendations and developing accurate treatment plans
- Explain procedures, treatment options, and associated costs clearly and compassionately
- Prepare cost estimates and collect patient financial responsibility and payments in a professional manner
- Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider availability, and efficient use of treatment rooms
- Support daily provider schedules and manage patient flow to help minimize wait times
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check‑in and check‑out processes
- Update and maintain patient insurance information, charts, and documentation
- Maintain professional relationships with referring offices
- Ensure confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA
- Support front office operations and assist with additional duties as needed to keep the practice running smoothly
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of customer service experience (healthcare, dental, or medical preferred)
- Comfort discussing treatment plans and financial responsibilities with patients
- Friendly, professional, and patient-centered communication style
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dental terminology and practice management systems a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members
