The Climber is responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees. Essential functions include following and enforcing safe practices, climbing, pruning, and removing trees according to directives, loading and unloading trucks, working from the ground using various tools, inspecting and ensuring the working condition of tools, safeguarding employees and public from hazards, and performing storm work duties as needed.

Supervisory responsibilities include no direct reports. Experience requirements include prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries, and previous climbing experience is preferred. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include demonstrating a working knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices, climbing and descending trees using rope and safety saddle, administering emergency rescue techniques, familiarity with electrical hazards, working at considerable heights, possessing physical strength and agility, obtaining and maintaining first-aid certification and CPR, and being able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.
