Job Title: Tree Crew Operator Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 60946 Department Facilities - GroundsResponsibilities Responsible for tree trimming, pruning, planting, and other aspects of tree care, potentially involving chainsaw operations, and operating from a bucket truck.Operates various specialized heavy equipment, including 2- ton dump truck, bucket trucks, grapple trucks, stump grinders, cranes, loaders, excavators, and tractors, for tree trimming, removal, and maintenance activities.Responsible for security, safety and maintenance of all equipment, supplies and vehicles. Ensures all manual and power equipment is in proper working condition and reports maintenance problems to the supervisor.Maintains a safe, clean, sustainable, and attractive landscaped environment for the students, faculty, and staff of our institution. Performs general grounds keeping maintenance tasks around buildings and on campus to include site preparation and cleanup. Assists with landscape renovations, Grounds projects, and other special duties as assigned by supervisor or higher authority.Qualifications Completion of the ninth grade.
