The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled litigation attorney to join our Philadelphia office handling catastrophic injury and other high exposure defense matters. This is an opportunity for a true litigator who wants meaningful responsibility, sophisticated cases, and real trial exposure.
The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom and litigation experience with the ability to independently manage the work-up of complex catastrophic cases from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities:
Independently manage catastrophic injury and high exposure litigation matters
Handle all phases of litigation including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation
Develop case strategy and work directly with clients, carriers, experts, and witnesses
Prepare and defend depositions including fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses
Coordinate complex discovery and expert driven litigation matters
Draft and argue substantive motions and dispositive briefing
Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings in high stakes matters
Maintain strong client communication and provide strategic litigation analysis throughout the life of a case
Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Bar admission required
Strong trial experience and courtroom exposure required
Experience handling catastrophic injury, high exposure, or complex litigation matters preferred
Ability to independently work up sophisticated litigation files with minimal supervision
Strong deposition, motion practice, and case management skills
Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high level litigation environment
