This role is responsible for driving revenue growth of Schneider Electric’s Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems portfolio across the United States. The Business Development Leader will focus on new customer acquisition, competitive displacement, and expansion within strategic and installed base accounts.This is a commercial role requiring strong pipeline creation, deal leadership, and the ability to position differentiated value with both technical and executive stakeholders. Functional safety knowledge is important but is applied in support of winning and growing business rather than serving as the primary focus of the role.What will you do?Drive new business growth through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline developmentWin competitive displacement opportunities against incumbent SIS, BMS, and Fire and Gas platformsOwn and advance opportunities from early discovery through close, including strategy development, positioning, and stakeholder alignmentExpand revenue within strategic and installed base accounts through upsell, cross sell, and lifecycle service programsConduct high impact customer engagements such as workshops, presentations, and roadmap discussions to support opportunity developmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, system integrators, OEMs, and channel partners to extend market reachApply functional safety knowledge to establish credibility and influence customer decision makingIdentify upgrade, expansion, and lifecycle service opportunities within the existing installed base and convert them into revenueProvide field insights on customer priorities, competitive positioning, and industry trends to internal teamsInfluence both technical and executive stakeholders through clear communication and differentiated value positioningTravel: Ability to travel up to 50% within the United StatesWho will you report to? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Business, or related field, or equivalent experienceAbility to travel up to 50 percent within the United States8 + years of experience in industrial automation or process industries with a strong track record in sales, business development, or account growthDemonstrated success generating pipeline, acquiring new customers, and closing complex dealsExperience engaging directly with customers, EPCs, or integrators on capital projects or lifecycle programsProven track record of driving revenue growth through new business development and competitive winsStrong capability in pipeline creation, opportunity qualification, and deal execution in complex multi stakeholder environmentsAbility to develop and execute account strategies to grow revenue and displace incumbent competitorsStrong executive communication skills with the ability to position business value beyond technical featuresExperience influencing both technical and commercial stakeholders in process industry environmentsWorking knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems, Burner Management Systems, or Fire and Gas applications preferredUnderstanding of safety lifecycle principles is beneficial but applied in support of commercial objectivesStrong relationship building skills across EPCs, integrators, OEMs, plant engineering, operations, and corporate leadershipAbility to work collaboratively across sales, marketing, offer management, delivery, and partner organizationsLet us learn about you!
