JOB DESCRIPTION
Truck Driver

Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
Conduct daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post trip inspections of truck and cargo.
Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
Follow all safety rules and always wear required PPE.
Inventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and condition.
Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
Maintain vehicle service and repair logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Operate vehicles using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and safety dashcams (training provided).
Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, use of sideboard kits and safely ascending/descending of truck and/or trailer.
Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulations.
Work flexible hours and be available based on business needs.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
No DUI/DWI within the past five years.
At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred).
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing.
No more than one moving violation in the past three years.
Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspections.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
