Recruiting for 3rd shift twister operators (11 pm - 7 am) Internal Candidates please call Lisbeth at .Position SummaryOperates cabler/twisting machine by supplying yarn to machine whose purpose is to intertwine multiple strands of yarn into a single strand.Essential FunctionsPerform duties in a safe manner utilizing all required personal protection equipment.Hearing protectionEye protectionExhibit quality awareness to meet or exceed our customers expectationsPerform job in an efficient manner in order to meet our goals.Be present and on time on scheduled workdays for the purpose of maintaining excellent customer servicePosition ResponsibilitiesCheck specification sheet before starting shift-mandatory fisherman knotCheck label in all packagesPatrol job repairing any ends downMake sure ends are threaded through guides and tension devices correctlyWhen starting new yarn package make sure to run a starter tail on each tube or coneDoff full packages from twister place full package on racksUse correct tube or coneComplete and place ID sheets on racksUse creel caps to prevent waste/breaksPut empty supply tubes in proper containerFlag any spindle position that is making a bad package flag ends that need repairsClean conveyer beltKeep work area cleanPerform any duties assigned by supervisionEssential Skills and ExperienceStanding - approximately 7.5 hours on concrete floorSitting - 40 minute breaksMoving - moves about in an area approximately 100 x 20 while performing duties; no prolonged standing in single locationMoving Materials - exerts initial push force of 20 lbs. -sustained force of 10 lbs.Hearing/Speaking - must be able to communicate with fixers and supervisorsReaching - 65 to reach and pull down creel unit 5 6 feet to place 10-18 lb. packages on creel assemblyVisual Acuity - color vision required with minimum near vision to distinguish quality defectsBending /Stooping moderate (1.5 hours)Lifting - intermittent lifting of full yarn packages weighing up to 18 lbs.
