UI Motion Designer at Skill

Overview Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $50-60 Hourly Start Date: 12.15.2025 Our AI tech client is looking for a UI Motion Designer focused on enhancing web experiences through dynamic transitions and animations. The designer will be instrumental in prototyping these interactions, working closely with the engineering team to bring them to life within web constraints. This position is vital for auditing the existing application, identifying opportunities to inject motion and delight, and ultimately elevating the holistic visual quality and user experience across the company's digital products. It requires a strong visual craft and a mid-level professional who can contribute significantly to the user interface's expressiveness and engagement.Remote, must be able to align to PST. 20-30 hours per week, 6+ monthsResponsibilities:1. Design and prototype UI motion, transitions, and animations specifically for web applications.2. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure motion designs are feasible and optimized for web constraints (CSS, JavaScript).3. Audit existing applications to identify and implement opportunities for injecting motion and enhancing user delight.4. Contribute to maintaining a high standard of visual quality and craft across all digital products.5. Work horizontally across various product teams to integrate motion design effectively.Qualifications:1. Mid-level experience in UI motion design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating web-based motion.2. Proficiency with motion prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Principle, After Effects, Lottie).3. Solid understanding of web animation principles and the ability to design within web constraints (CSS, JavaScript).4. Exceptional visual quality and craft in motion design.5.
