Staff Physicians at the University of Miami serve as vital members of our satellite practice locations providing high-quality clinical care in collaboration with UHealth faculty and community providers. This position offers the opportunity to practice at one of our premier UHealth sites while engaging in a collegial academically enriched environment supported by the resources of a leading academic health system. The ideal candidate will provide expertise in the full scope of nuclear medicine imaging and therapy including PET/CT SPECT/CT diagnostic nuclear studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy. Experience in theranostics and nuclear oncology imaging is highly desired as the division is actively engaged in therapies for thyroid cancer lymphoma neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer.The successful applicant will join a department of 80 clinical radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities including Jackson Memorial Hospital (a primary tertiary and quaternary care County hospital) and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired as the Division is quite active in conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer lymphoma neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer to name a few. Supervise the performance of technical personnel. Be part of the on-call schedule. Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine. Provide Nuclear Medicine consultation as requested. Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair. Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research. Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: Medical Degree Diagnostic Radiology Residency Nuclear Medicine FellowshipCertification and Licensing: American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified Preferred Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) Certified or Board Eligible Florida Medical License or EligibleExperience: Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine. Prior experience in a cancer centric practice setting preferred but not required.Knowledge Skills and Attitudes: Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired as the Division is quite active in conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer lymphoma neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer to name a few.
