Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $45-$55/hourUnderground Transmission Line Inspector / ObserverLocation: Downtown Denver, CO (Field-Based)Company: EDM International, Inc.Pay Rate: $45-$55/hourAt EDM International, we dont just build infrastructure we connect communities. Were seeking a driven and detail-oriented Underground Transmission Line Inspector/Observer to ensure the highest quality and safety standards in the construction of major underground utility projects.If you thrive outdoors, enjoy collaborating with contractors and engineers, and take pride in precision this role will put you right where the action is.What Youll DoOversee day-to-day field construction for underground transmission line projects.Conduct inspections to verify all work meets drawings, specifications, and project standards.Create accurate, detailed daily inspection reports.Collaborate closely with contractors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.Observe and document field tests, such as concrete and soil testing.Maintain contract documents, permits, and updated as-built drawings.Participate in construction meetings and coordinate with local officials, right-of-way agents, and permitting authorities.Uphold and promote a safety-first culture, taking corrective action when needed.What You Bring5+ years of experience in transmission, distribution, or substation line work.Prior underground utility construction and inspection experience especially in urban settings preferred.Strong knowledge of construction principles, specifications, and OSHA regulations (especially trenching/shoring).Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, ArcGIS, or Field Maps a plus.Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.Work EnvironmentField-based work across both urban and remote project sites.Requires walking up to three miles per day, climbing, bending, and working in varied weather.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate a vehicle for field inspections.Why EDM International?Were an employee-owned company built on innovation, integrity, and collaboration.
