DescriptionScopeContribute to the achievement of the Chubb Global Casualty business plan. The Senior Underwriter is responsible for production underwriting and maintenance of new and renewal domestic casualty accounts within a defined addition the Senior Underwriter is responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers and clients within the assigned territory to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities while representing all Chubb Global Casualty segments and products.ResponsibilitiesSolicits new and renewal submissions from brokersDetermines terms and conditions and complex rating plansBinds coverageDocuments the underwriting filesHandles challenging files and portfolios within underwriting authorityQualificationsPreferably at least 2-4 years underwriting experienceExperience with multiple lines of insuranceBachelors degreeKnowledge of insurance industryKnowledge of underwriting concepts practices and proceduresMicrosoft Word Excel and OutlookOral and written communication skillsNegotiation skillsMarketing skillsLeadership experience through work or involvement in community service athletics clubs or other activities preferredTechnically adept/digitally savvyThe pay range for the role is $92400 to $157200. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
