You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.See Yourself as an Underwriter II DMT (Document Management Team)Principally responsible for the ordering and analysis of all Origination and Claims documents required to perfect a submitted Claim for Mortgage Insurance and certify the file for processing. The individual will provide expertise in analyzing the loan approval documents to determine Program-specific Underwriting and Document requirements in order to facilitate a comprehensive origination file request. Upon determining the document requirements for a particular loan the Underwriter will validate that all documents provided satisfy this comprehensive request. The Underwriter will track orders for follow-up and initiate denial requests as needed. The Underwriter will also interact with Servicers to clearly and concisely identify information required to Perfect Claim.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify required Documents/Information for Perfection/ProcessingAnalyze Loan Approvals Lender and/or GSE Guidelines and Radian Policies to determine program and product specific document requirementsDetermine if all documents have been receivedValidate received documents and information for accuracy and completenessOrder and track missing documentsValidate CoverageReview claim filing timelines against applicable policies to determine if a valid claim has been receivedDetermine if an unauthorized short sale/Deed In Lieu has been receivedInitiate and process Claim denials when appropriateAct as a subject matter expert when reviewing and analyzing Claim and/or Default-related inquiries (such as Master Policy explanations bidding instructions Claim filing questions required document questions etc.).Provide support to supervisors and managers with training and mentoring of staff.Be involved with development testing and implementation of special projects.Job SpecificationsSkills and Abilities:Comprehensive knowledge of Mortgage Underwriting or strong Mortgage Processing backgroundVast knowledge of all mortgage documents standard industry lending guidelines and transaction typesWorking knowledge of Mortgage Insurance Claims processExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines as needed in a high-volume fast-paced environmentStrong detail orientationAbility to analyze and react to different scenariosPrior Work ExperienceTechnical:3 - 5 yearsSupervisory:NoneEducation and CredentialsRequired: Bachelors DegreeSee Why You Should Work With UsCompetitive Compensation:anticipatedbase hourly ratefrom $23.85 to $ 34.05 based on skills and experience.
