This position can be based in our New York or Chicago offices.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties may include are not limited to:Complete account clearance and associated work effortsAbility to establish priorities and to plan coordinate and monitor personal work plan maintaining status and oversight of multiple submissionsMaintain service standards by timely response to broker requests and timely receipt of underwriting informationCommunicate with agents and brokers to confirm or obtain data needed for policy issuance and servicingComplete renewal prep activitiesPrepare at the direction of the Underwriter quotations binders and policiesIdentify forms and endorsements used in policy constructionConduct account inquiries in various management systemsUnderstanding and experience with administrative and clerical procedures including managing electronic files data and recordsCapability to work independently and within a team/group environmentIdentify and report problems or errors while working with significant amounts of detailed informationQualifications1-2 years of prior commercial insurance underwriting support experience preferred.Basic understanding of insurance terminology.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work autonomouslyStrong organization and prioritization skillsGood attention to detailFlexible and adaptable to changeMicrosoft Office Suite Proficient in ExcelThe pay range for the role is $43700 to $81000. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
