Hybrid Direct Hire F/T Union Deputy Fund Administrator Needed in Chicago Near Chinatown (Competitive Yearly Compensation & Great Benefits) Our client, a busy and growing Union Health and Welfare Fund Union located in Chicago near Chinatown has an immediate staffing need for a partially remote direct-hire full-time Union Deputy Fund Administrator. As Union Deputy Fund Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the primary Union Fund Administrator in managing daily operations, staff oversight, and team leadership, organizational development, ensuring compliance and regulations, client relations, creating and maintaining business relationships, attending leadership and Board of Trustee Meetings, special projects, and financial reporting. Job Responsibilities Operational Oversight: Assist in managing daily fund operations, including cash management, treasury functions, and portfolio monitoring. Organizational Development and Process Improvement Implementation Financial Reporting: Review monthly fund closing summaries, prepare financial statements, and analyze data for investors. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and legal obligations. Team Leadership: Supervise staff, oversee performance appraisals, and ensure team efficiency. Client Relations: Act as a point of contact for clients, investors, and service providers to resolve queries. Special Projects: Undertake projects assigned by the Fund Administrator or Board of Trustees. Job Requirements 7+ years of experience working in an executive leadership role ideally in a Taft-Hartley Union environment, not-for-profit organization, benefits administration office, mission-driven organization, and/or other emergent environment. College Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is preferred or significant work experience. Contract negations experience is essential and Collective Bargaining Agreement experience is preferred. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Good leadership and collaboration skills. Ability to multi-task, and prioritize time sensitive tasks. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook (intermediate to advanced level). Paylocity experience is preferred. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of NAV calculation, ETFs, mutual funds, or private equity structure.
