Job Description SummaryPerforms as a skilled tradesman in the fabrication and installation of the campus sign systems. On occasion may provide skilled master brush roll and spray painting of interior and exterior building walls and fixtures as well as finishing drywall as necessary. Performs other related and non-related duties as required.25% - Maximizes the use of the AiM work order system software as a tool to effectively and efficiently manage work for both on the desktop and hand-held device(s). Makes use of the daily assignments and stopwatch features.20% - Provides skilled master brush roll and spray painting of interior and exterior building walls and fixtures as well as drywall as these duties relate to signage removals and installations. Performs work in a safe manner. Conserves supplies and works efficiently as possible.20% - Troubleshoots sign problems and makes recommendations to supervisor on solutions. Alerts supervisor on inventory issues and maintains a clean and organized shop area.35% - Performs repairs updates fabrications removals and installations with expertise of the campus-wide sign systems. Skillfully uses the various sign equipment (engravers stencil cutters vinyl cutter plotters dolly and cart as well as various mounting tools).Additional Job DescriptionMinimum Requirements: A high school diploma and three years trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment. Some positions require a commercial drivers license. Some positions require EPA-approved freon recovery certification.
