The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of our students. This position involves not only teaching but also developing curriculum and ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive. DutiesDevelop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.Educate students in various subjects, with a focus on Math and Literacy education.Conduct standardized testing and analyze results to inform instructional practices.Provide tutoring support to students needing additional assistance.Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support childhood development.RequirementsNew York State teaching certification valid for service in early childhood (or childhood) grades or for students with disabilities in early childhood. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.Nice To HavesExperience conducting child observations, documentation, and progress monitoring using approved assessment toolsExperience working in a licensed child care center regulated by OCFSDemonstrated experience leading a classroom independently, including planning, instruction, and classroom management.Strong understanding of family engagement practices, including communication with parents and participation in family events.
