We build and operate the traffic management platforms that power Walmart's digital ecosystem, ensuring applications are fast, reliable, secure, and scalable.Our platforms handle millions of requests per second across eCommerce, Stores, Supply Chain, and Enterprise systems. We develop critical capabilities including traffic routing, load balancing, caching, edge services, and traffic orchestration that help Walmart deliver exceptional experiences at global scale.What you'll do...Lead Technology StrategyDefine and drive the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Traffic Foundation platforms.Partner with engineering, product, and infrastructure leaders to align platform investments with business priorities.Establish engineering standards and best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.Build and Lead High-Performing TeamsLead and develop engineering managers and senior engineers across global teams.Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.Drive talent development, organizational planning, and team growth.Deliver at ScaleLead large, complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple organizations.Oversee the design and operation of highly available, distributed systems supporting Walmart's critical applications.Drive platform modernization, automation, and cloud adoption initiatives.Ensure Operational ExcellenceOwn the reliability, performance, and security of critical traffic infrastructure.Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.Establish and monitor key operational and engineering metrics. ​What You'll BringProven success building, developing, and scaling high-performing engineering organizations.Deep expertise in distributed systems, networking, and traffic management technologies.Experience with Layer 4 and Layer 7 routing, load balancing, proxies, caching, and edge services.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, and cloud-native architectures.Experience operating large-scale production systems across thousands of servers.Experience delivering large, complex, cross-functional initiatives and influencing technical strategy across multiple organizations.Working knowledge of modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or similar technologies.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, platform engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.Experience building or operating high-performance proxies, API gateways, CDNs, or service mesh technologies.Proven track record of driving platform strategy, organizational growth, and engineering excellence.Experience leading globally distributed teams and organizations.
