Utility Worker at Solano Irrigation District

The Utility Worker performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled tasks in the construction maintenance repair and replacement related to the Districts infrastructure. They operate various types of mobile and general construction equipment working on canals pipelines pumping plants roads buildings and other facilities. The Utility Worker has knowledge of the identification use and operation of common power tools utilized in construction or maintenance trades.The ideal candidate has a team-oriented positive attitude with experience working in a construction mechanical metal or building trade. They deal courteously with the public; and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. A strong candidate has the ability to perform manual work requiring the use of independent judgment and initiative.
