General Summary:The Janitor/Cleaner maximizes store profitability by maintaining a clean and safe store environment along with supporting best in class customer service. This role helps us to build skills and change lives in each of our communities.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Cleans all floors including under garment racks using a broom mop vacuum &/or floor scrubberCleans restrooms: mirrors counters toilets and floors spot cleaning walls and wiping all handlesProvide best in class service by greeting customers/donors and inviting them to returnStocks restroom supplies and revisits throughout their shift to complete touch-ups as neededRoutinely picks up debris hangers and product inside and outside storeCollects and empties trash from public areas restrooms breakrooms and officesCleans & polishes drinking fountains wipes down microwave and tables in breakroomCleans dressing rooms: mirrors benches baseboards and floorsRoutinely dusts all ledges tops of fitting rooms and underneath H-RacksInforms management of cleaning supplies level on hand & alerting them more needs to be purchasedMaintain neat clean and safe environment by following established 5S principles and safety guidelinesWorks the process providing back-up to take in donations or putting out HL product as assignedConsistently interacting with co-workers shoppers and donors in a professional & pleasant mannerConsistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core ValuesRequirementsKnowledge Skills & Abilities Required:Ability to operate & maintain cleaning equipment: floor scrubber vacuum broom mop & bucketGood interpersonal and customer service skillsTravel Required: NoRequired education and/or work experience:No experience necessaryDescription of physical working environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
