This role translates marketing objectives into creative strategies, concepts, and designs while providing conceptualized design elements and services in a variety of media forms for use in IWU marketing.Duties and Responsibilities PrimaryResponsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completionLead design efforts for all N&G marketing projects, ensuring consistency with IWU’s brand standards, style guide, and strategic marketing objectivesCollaborate with the Strategic Marketing Manager and the Executive Director of Brand and Creative to align creative direction with audience personas, regional market needs, and institutional goalsProvide design work including promotional pieces, print and digital advertisements, publications, recruitment materials, and templates for email broadcastingPrepare work to be completed by collecting information and materials in coordination with project stakeholdersDemonstrate concepts by designing rough layouts regarding size, composition, font style and size, and other related aesthetic conceptsMaintain technical knowledge regarding design software and design trends by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societiesManage, track, and report on progress related to design production and deliverablesSupervise junior designers as neededAssist with other duties as assigned SecondaryCollaborate with the internal creative team and copywriter to drive strategy, positioning, and messagingManage timelines and ensure projects are delivered on time Supervisory Responsibilities This role does not carry formal supervisory duties but may collaborate with contractors, freelancers, or internal contributors as neededQualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.EducationBachelor's degree requiredExperienceFive to seven (5-7) years of experience preferredRequired SkillsExcellent skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)Ability to work in a Mac environment preferredSuperior communication skillsExcellent knowledge of technology for use in e-commerce and e-business applicationsAbility to work independentlyAbility to work under time constraints and meet quick deadlinesExcellent organizational abilitiesUnderstanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of the UniversityIWU Kingdom Diversity StatementIWU, in covenant with God's reconciling work and in accordance with the Biblical principles of our historic Wesleyan tradition, commits to build a community that reflects Kingdom diversity.
