Vacuum Forming Machine Operator (2nd Shift) - Manitowoc, WI (Try-Before-Hire)
Pay: $17.75/hr
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM 40 hrs/week
Location: Manitowoc, WI (on-site)

A well-established manufacturing company in Manitowoc is hiring a Vacuum Forming Machine Operator for 2nd shift. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on machine operation, quality-focused work, and a steady weekday schedule.

What you'll do

• Operate vacuum forming machines to meet safety, quality, and production goals
• Load materials and monitor the forming process
• Inspect parts after de-molding to ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform deburring, bench operations, and basic inspection tasks
• Complete simple preventative maintenance per PM charts
• Detect/report defective materials or questionable conditions
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety rules
• Maintain accurate production records as needed

What we're looking for

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Vacuum forming experience is a plus (machine operator experience welcomed)
• Comfortable following detailed work instructions and staying quality-focused
• Basic math/measurement skills
• Able to communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors
• Self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail

Physical / work environment

• Standing/walking continuously; frequent stair climbing
• Frequent bending/stooping/reaching (including overhead at times)
• Frequent lifting 15-25 lbs, occasional lifting 20-40 lbs
• Manufacturing environment with potential heat/cold/noise/odors; PPE required in certain areas
