Variable Products Accountant I at Pacific Life
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements. Develops, implements, and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting procedures. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review shareholder reports including: schedules of Investments, financial statements, notes to financial statements, and other schedules for financial reporting the tailored shareholders report and the EDGAR.
- Review Prospectus and Statement of Additional Information.
- Assist with Transfer Agency functions such as fund mutual funds & separate accounts pricing, share activity wires and outstanding share reconciliations.
- Provide support for independent auditors for the Pacific Select Fund and Pacific Select Distributors.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation functionality over centralized databases and processes.
- Prepare PSD related journal entries, analytics, accounts in ARCS, reconciliations, invoices, cash receipts & wires related to 12b-1 & admin fees.
- Monitor PSD cash & suspense account.
Qualifications:
• 0-2 years of experience
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience
Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
