At the same time the students shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moralvalues prideof accomplishment acceptable social behavior self-discipline sportsmanship and service to others.Qualifications:CPR certificationPrevious successful coaching experienceAbility to organize and supervise all levels of a sports programCommitment to professional growthAbility to accept responsibilities outside the team as they relate to the school and communityAbility to handle multitude of varying and complex issuesExcellent oral and written communication skillsEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):Complies with school and MIAA policies and regulationsComplies with school and Conference/League policies and regulationsWorks cooperatively with the school staffRelates positively to parents and other community representativesCompletes required records and reports with promptness and accuracyAssumes responsibility for care of equipment and facilitiesAssumes responsibility for a safe environment for student athletesModels positive behaviors especially with regard to sportsmanship and the alcohol tobacco and drug rulesDelegates staff assignments to assistant coachesDevelops and organizes practice programEvaluates assistant coaches and playing personnelPlans and develops game responsibilitiesConducts and analyzes scouting reportsAssists student athletes in college advancementMaintains and inventories all equipment and suppliesActs as liaison person in relating the athletic program to the staff administration general public and local news mediaConsistent reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the studentsResponsible for implementing other job related duties as needed.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:Work Environment:Majority of work is performed in a school/classroom environment. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job the coach is frequently required to walk stand sit talk and hear. The teacher is regularly required to bend stoop crouch and/or kneel. The teacher is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building.
