P1 Construction takes pride in maintaining a high standard of excellence along with an ethical and friendly business culture.P1 Construction, LLC. is an equal opportunity employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment, regardless of status, including status as a protected veteran or as an individual with a disability. We offer a competitive compensation package.Job SummaryDevelops detailed coordination and fabrication drawings for underground, above ground, overhead interstitial space, electrical/equipment room, and systems drawings.  Manage department SOP and setup projects.  Total station and laser scanning (office and field aspects).  Communication with VDC Manager and support piping staff in software/hardware needs.  Manages all VDC aspects of large scale piping projects including in-house detailers and sub-contractors. Responsibilities and DutiesProduces all VDC plumbing deliverables drawings consistent with specifications, prefabrication guidelines and department standards.Performs verification and preparation of submittal drawings to meet department and customer requirements.Prepares RFI documentation requesting clarification of original architectural design and the organization and follow-up responses.Labels and dimensions drawings prepared by department staff.Completes all project as built drawings per field comments.Plots all department drawings.Reads architectural and structural floor plans, sections and elevations.Confers with VDC Manager and project manager staff to resolve problems and explaining drawings to production or construction teams and providing adjustments as necessary.Organizes and leads coordination meetings with sub-contractors.Manages incoming and outgoing 3D coordination and submittal content both in-house and from sub-contractors.Assists PMs at high level with material procurement with reports and BOMs.Coordinates with in-house off site construction facility for material, manpower, and schedule.Qualifications and SkillsEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree related to Construction or Technology Studies preferred but not required.Direct Experience and Trade Knowledge: Must meet both of the following - Competent in the plumbing trade with at least 7 years of union plumbing field experience.Must have at least 1 year of plumbing drafting experience using Autodesk Revit .General understanding of all facets of construction blueprints (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, piping, and special systems)Computer Skills: Must be proficient in using email, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing applications: specifically Microsoft Office products. Preferred but not required: Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Revu experience, Autodesk Navisworks Manage and it’s total functionality, Evolve Electrical Revit add-on, AutoCAD MEP, Trimble Field Points, and Autodesk Recap Pro.Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.Benefits for fulltime non-union personnel include:Workflex policyEducational Assistance program after two yearsImmediate PTO, birthday pay, and holiday payVolunteer community service paid time offParental and grandparent paid time off after one yearBereavement paid time offCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid disability insuranceCompany paid Employee Assistance Program with counselingCompany paid financial education & wellness program with budgeting resources401K retirement plan with fully vested annual company contribution equal to 3% of compensation, and additional discretionary annual company contribution subject to vesting (not based on employee paycheck deferral contributions)Health with HSA, Dental, and Vision insuranceDependent Care FSAVoluntary Life insuranceVoluntary Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness, and Accident insurance plansVoluntary Hinge Health Musculoskeletal Digital Exercise Therapy ProgramVoluntary LegalShield and Identity Theft protection plansEducation 529 College Savings planEmployee DiscountsIf you are a qualified individual with a disability or a disabled veteran, you may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to access job openings or apply for a job on this site as a result of your disability.
