Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVehicle Test TechnicianLocation: Oshkosh, WisconsinType: Long-Term Contract - 12 Months (Potential for Extension)About the RoleWe're looking for a hands-on Vehicle Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of prototype and production vehicles. You'll work closely with engineers and senior technicians to validate new designs, diagnose issues, and ensure our vehicles meet top performance and safety standards.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced diesel or automotive technician who wants to grow their skills in a professional engineering and testing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and perform vehicle and component tests, record data, and report results.Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.Assemble and fabricate test stands, parts, and vehicle components.Operate vehicles and heavy equipment safely during testing.Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve technical issues.QualificationsU.S. Citizenship requiredTechnical diploma or equivalent hands-on experience (4 years = 1 year education)3+ years of experience as a heavy-duty diesel or automotive technicianStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read engineering drawings and follow detailed proceduresMust have or be willing to obtain mechanic tool set and toolbox (Defense segment)Ability to travel up to 10%Preferred:Associate degree or related technical certificationCDL or Telehandler/AWP licenseWhy Join UsLong-term stability with potential to extendOpportunity to work with advanced vehicle technologiesCollaborative, safety-focused team environment
