Job Description
Primary PurposeThe Satellite Behavior Specialist is responsible for implementing all program services skills training individual treatment intervention and mediation between agencies under the direct supervision of the Gipson Program Director. The Satellite Behavior Specialist provides direct support and supervision of consumer support staff. This position has identified one (1) year funding. Continuation of this position is based on availability of funds.Essential FunctionsImplements all behavioral interventions as assigned. Facilitates referrals behavioral assessments and behavioral treatment plans. Provides monthly updates to referral source. Records progress towards individual interventions. Maintains program records. Participates in interagency meetings and trainings. Supports the development and implementation of individual recovery plans for referrals. Performs other duties as assigned or requested in support of program operations. This position serves as Campus Security Authority ( CSA ) as outlined by the Clery Act. CSAs have federally mandated responsibilities to report crimes that are reported them. One (1) year of experience working with special needs populations.Preferred QualificationsOne (1) year of experience working with the Special Needs populations using Applied Behavior Analysis. Preference given to RBT or BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst). Skills/Knowledge and Expertise: Experience implementing behavioral assessments and interventions. Strong professional ethical and leadership skills. Strong oral and written communication skills when providing feedback to others. Ability to write behavioral based progress notes emails and clinical documents. Ability to clearly articulate performance roles project goals and timelines. Effectively manages deadlines and tasks independently. Basic understanding of the theory of human behavior Ability to develop function based treatments that will help clients achieve related goals and positive outcomes. Ability to form positive relationships with clients. Positive attitude ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting.
