We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PA or APRN to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team. This role will provide comprehensive support to a cardiovascular surgeon, including both outpatient clinic visits and inpatient hospital consultations, with the potential to assist as First Assist in the Operating Room (OR).Key Responsibilities:Conduct pre- and post-operative assessments in both clinic and hospital settingsPerform hospital rounds and consultations in collaboration with the cardiovascular surgeonAssist in surgical procedures as First Assist (if credentialed and trained)Coordinate patient care plans and communicate with multidisciplinary teamsDocument patient encounters and maintain accurate medical recordsEducate patients and families on treatment plans and post-operative careParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings Qualifications:Current licensure as a PA or APRN in GACertification by NCCPA (for PAs) or national certification in a relevant APRN specialty, cardiology preferredBLS and ACLS certification requiredExperience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery preferredFirst Assist certification or willingness to obtain preferredStrong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skillsSchedule:Full-time, with flexibility for hospital coverage and potential OR timeMay include rotating weekends or on-call responsibilities
