We are seeking a proficientveterinarian interested in practicing quality medicine among a team offriendly, professional, and fun-loving staff! About the Opportunity: Combination of general practice caseload(scheduled wellness visits, sick/injured appointments, and surgeries/dentals)as well as a limited quota of same-day-sick visits shared daily among thedoctoral team “Flex Hour” daily on weekdays as a buffer thatis free from scheduled appointments – this helps ensure lunch is eaten, theworkload remains contained within reasonable working hours, and that nursingmothers can be confident they will have time to tend to their needs Access to several local emergencyhospitals/specialty practices for case transfer, discussion, and guidance Full-time preferred, part-time considered Alternating A/Btype of schedule A:2 day shifts 8a-3p (one of these to besurgical/dental) 2 evening shifts 12p-8p (one with on-callovernight for any previously admitted pets) B: 2 day shifts 8a-3p (one of these to be surgical/dental) 1 evening shift 12p-8p (with on-call overnight for anypreviously admitted pets) Saturday 9a-3p o Roughly one Sunday every 6 weeks on-call for any pets already in the hospital- wedo not admit any cases into the hospital outside of normal business hours, sobeing on-call only applies to previously admitted pets o Rotating and randomly assigned holiday on-callfor any previously admitted pets o Schedules are predictable and posted 3 months inadvance to help with planning for vacation, personal appointments, or othertime off; holiday on-call assignments are provided at the end of the summer forthe next calendar yearOur 3,500 square foot facility includes:Eight exam rooms equipped individually withcomputer, vaccine refrigerators, and supplies Separate dedicated room forhospital/surgical/dental discharges Two full surgery suites with anesthesiamonitoring equipment Dental suite with digital dental radiography andultrasonic scaling/handpiece machine Pharmacy- Rx options include in-hospital, anonline pharmacy, or as a written Rx for owners to submit elsewhereIsolation Ward ICU with separate, quieter area for feline ormore nervous patients CO2 Cutting Laser Digital Radiography with cloud-based imagestorage Ultrasound machine with cloud-based imagestorage IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment Dedicated “room technicians” to facilitategathering medical history/intake, assistance during the visit, and in-roominvoicing/payment Paper-light practice utilizing conventionalphone and electronic communication methods (text, email) Shared DVM office for effortless collaborationand case review Spacious, well-lit waiting room for clientswith separate area for feline patients Open concept treatment area with adjacentpre-operative alcove Boarding area with access to dedicated playroom,kitchen, and bathing roomWe offer: $115,000 - $140,000 base salary, varying withexperience Full health insurance Paid parental leave Life Insurance (to include short/long-termdisability) Liability Insurance (100% Coverage) 401(k) with match Vacation & Sick Time CE days & Allowance Paid MD State Licenses (to include CDS) andprofessional dues/fees (to include AVMA, MDVMA, DEA, VIN, Plumb’s, and VETgirl) National Veterinary Associates is a leading global pet care organization united in the love of animals and the people who love them.At NVA, we’re on a mission to improve the lives of pets and the people who love them.
