Eligibility and Employer Sponsored Plans can be found within each of the links offered.Essential Job Duties:This position plays a key role in the Diagnostic Imaging Department by supporting advanced imaging services for small, large, and exotic patients across the hospital. The role provides hands-on veterinary care, technical expertise, and coordination for patients requiring specialized diagnostic procedures while contributing to a dynamic teaching environment. Team members in this role thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrate strong communication and time-management skills, and collaborate effectively with clinicians, students, and specialty services to ensure exceptional patient care.Key Responsibilities Include:Assess patients through record review and communication with referring services to support diagnostic and treatment planning.Provide direct patient care, including venipuncture, SQ/IM/IV injections, medication administration, restraint, and positioning for imaging procedures.Operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment such as digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, pulse oximetry, and IV pumps.Perform drug calculations, monitor patients during imaging procedures, and follow strict protocols for managing infectious or antibiotic-resistant cases.Support multiple specialty areas across the hospital, ensuring smooth coordination and timely patient flow.Departmental Coordination & Teaching Support:Manage daily imaging schedules, prioritizing critical cases and maintaining clear communication across services.Accurately document patient care and diagnostic information in hospital systems, including using and reviewing radiology-specific platforms.Assist with billing related to imaging procedures and maintain supplies and equipment for departmental operations.Help orient, teach, and coach new staff, students, interns, and residents in procedures, policies, and best practices.Maintain a clean, safe work environment in alignment with hospital, OSHA, EHS, and radiation safety standards.Lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.Other Responsibilities:Other duties as assignedMinimum Experience/Education:High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in medical diagnostics; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
