The position is expected to onboard at an American Rheinmetall location and transition into primarily being located in Warsaw Poland for an 18 month assignment. Further position details will be provided during screening.Job Summary: Responsible for the design development and integration of complex military combat vehicle electronic and power distribution systems.Essential Functions: Develop vehicle electrical architectureRequirements analysis and decompositionResearch and analyze solutions to meet customer requirementsDevelop vehicle electrical and power distribution concepts and architecturesPerform trade studies to compare alternative approachesIntegration of military lethality survivability and C4ISR systemsRequirements management generation and decomposition activitiesDevelop requirement specs drawings schematics and ICDsSupport prototype development and testSupport system integration lab developmentCreate and maintain electrical power budgets and allocationsPerform analytical analysis and simulations to evaluate system performanceSupport proposal activitiesInteract with external customers and suppliersComponent/Vehicle test supportUnderstand/create test requirementsCreate/review test plansMonitor/analyze test resultsTroubleshoot issues and perform corrective actionProject ManagementUnderstand/create project schedulesMaintain project open issues listsPrepare/ present project statusSupport concurrent engineering procurement and prototype build/integration activities by providing technical assistance.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneMinimum Qualifications:Specific knowledge that can be determined objectively; suggested vocabulary belowApplied working knowledge in the domain of electrical engineering design and systems integration with a proven track record of product development throughout the entire product lifecycleWorking knowledge of digital analog power and RF electronicsHands on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes multi-meters logic analyzers function generators network analyzers and spectrum analyzersKnowledge of Systems based design and related Standards/ProcessesAbility to present technical solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirementsKnowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development and acquisitionFamiliarity with the US Army TACOM / TARDEC organizationsPractical hands on attitude with the ability to operate independently.Currently holds or has the ability to obtain SECRET US Defense clearanceDetailed knowledge of Military Standards and regulationsDetailed knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering and vehicle principles.Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and be able to assimilate complex instructions easily. Ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff to establish productive relationships. Superior consultation diplomacy influencing and negotiating skills is required. Must possess the ability to explain complex concepts in a way that makes sense to someone less knowledgeable about the topic.Must demonstrate an enthusiasm to engage with and support overseas colleagues to ensure all staff have the information and opportunity to perform to the best of their abilities.Must promote collaboration and facilitate teamwork across the organization and its external service providers.
