Full-timeDescriptionLead Enterprise HSE Strategy Compliance and Culture TransformationAre you an accomplished HSE executive who excels at building world-class safety programs driving regulatory compliance and shaping a proactive enterprise-wide safety culture Do you thrive in dynamic environments where strategic leadership technical expertise and operational execution come together to protect people the environment and the businessSPL is seeking a highly experienced Vice President Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) to lead the organizations HSE vision regulatory compliance programs and continuous improvement initiatives from our Houston TX this role you will serve as the senior HSE authority partnering with executive leadership operational teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure safe sustainable and compliant operations across all business units.If you are ready to influence organizational strategy strengthen compliance and elevate safety performance at an enterprise level this is the opportunity for you!What Youll DoDevelop communicate and execute the companywide HSE strategy ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices;Provide executive leadership on HSE initiatives regulatory compliance and emerging risks;Establish HSE performance metrics accountability systems and long-term program goals;Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA DOT and state/local regulatory requirements across all sites and operations;Lead enterprise incident management including investigations root-cause analysis corrective actions and reporting;Oversee environmental programs industrial hygiene exposure assessments and emergency response systems;Implement and advance digital HSE platforms reporting tools and technology-enabled safety systems;Engage regularly with leadership field teams clients and regulators to communicate expectations and resolve complex issues;Foster a proactive and transparent safety culture across the company;Lead and mentor HSE team members ensuring capability development consistency and succession planning;Collaborate with Operations Quality HR and other departments to embed HSE into organizational decision-making;Monitor HSE data and trends to drive continuous improvement and system enhancements;Manage HSE budgets programs audits and compliance initiatives;Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and training provided.Why Youll Love Working HereCompetitive executive-level compensation;Medical dental and vision insurance;Paid parental leave for both parents;Employee Assistance Program (EAP);401(k) with company match;Paid time off paid holidays;Monthly cell phone reimbursement;Professional development and executive leadership growth opportunities;A collaborative culture built on safety accountability and operational excellence.RequirementsWhat Youll BringBachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field (required); Masters degree in a relevant discipline (preferred);Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive HSE leadership experience including five (5) years in a senior or executive role;Professional certifications such as CSP CIH CHMM or PE (preferred);Proven experience leading HSE strategy and transformation within oil and gas hydrocarbon processing industrial testing or environmental laboratory sectors;Deep knowledge of OSHA EPA DOT and related regulatory frameworks;Demonstrated expertise in risk management incident prevention and safety culture development;Experience implementing digital HSE tools platforms and data systems;Strong leadership communication and executive presence;Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive large-scale continuous improvement.Your Schedule & The Fine PrintFull-time position;Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours as needed to address urgent incidents or regulatory requirements;Ability to travel up to 30% to company sites client locations and regulatory meetings.Our Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt SPL we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
