Description

We're looking for an experienced software engineer to join our founding engineering team. You should be a passionate developer who wants to make a major impact at an early-stage startup. You should have a deep understanding of Rails development, a proven track record of building scalable web based applications, and the ability to create a strong engineering culture for junior developers. Above all, you should be an avid learner and an advocate for best software engineering practices.

Must Have
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and building software using Ruby on Rails
  • Strong algorithms, data structures and programming background
  • Strong technical background
  • A good grasp of software engineering principles, exceptional problem solving, design, programming and testing skills
  • Systematic and structured in problem solving approach. - Ability to generalize a specific problem and derive a solution for that class of problem. - Ability to derive causal relationships from ambiguous data.
  • Have experience in mentoring less experienced developers
  • Demonstrate sound rationale in making design trade-offs for feature areas across complex solutions.
  • Effectively manages dependencies for feature areas across complex solutions.
Nice To Have
  • Knowledge of logistics industry
  • Experience designing for the international business user
  • Experience with integrating third-party payment gateways and CRMs
  • Experience working with and deploying to Heroku
