A bit about us:

Jobot is partnering with a large, well-capitalized insurance and reinsurance organization with a diverse portfolio spanning Property & Casualty, Life, Health, and specialty risk solutions. The company operates across multiple regions, supporting complex businesses with meaningful capital, regulatory, and balance-sheet considerations.

The organization is known for its long-term financial discipline, analytical approach to capital management, and collaborative operating model. Treasury plays a strategic role in partnering with the business and finance leadership to evaluate capital impacts, support transactions, and ensure capital is deployed thoughtfully across legal entities and geographies.

This role sits within a highly visible treasury and capital management function, supporting senior stakeholders across the U.S. and internationally, and contributing to decisions that directly influence financial performance and risk management.

Why join us?

This is a true Vice President of Treasury role for someone who wants to sit between treasury and the business, with the business lens taking priority.

You won't be managing cash, running daily liquidity ops, or producing standard reporting. Instead, you'll operate as a strategic capital partner, advising on transactions, balance-sheet decisions, and capital efficiency across a complex insurance and reinsurance platform.

Job Details

The Vice President of Treasury will support capital management and business-driven treasury strategy across the Americas and select international markets. The role partners closely with finance, asset management, actuarial teams, and senior business leaders to evaluate capital implications, structure solutions, and support large-scale decisions impacting the balance sheet.

While the role works closely with actuarial partners, it is not an actuarial position. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical and data-driven mindset, paired with strategic judgment and the ability to translate complexity into actionable insights.

  • Act as a trusted business partner on large, complex transactions from a treasury perspective
  • Lead or support strategic treasury initiatives and projects across regions
  • Prepare materials and presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to talent development initiatives, including exposure to early-career professionals

This role is strategic and forward-looking - not focused on cash operations, collateral management, or routine reporting.

Qualifications:
  • 8-12+ years of experience within insurance or reinsurance (required)
  • Strong background in capital management, treasury, or balance-sheet strategy
  • Solid understanding of reinsurance products, structures, and risk drivers
  • Property & Casualty experience strongly preferred (Life & Health also valued)
  • Familiarity with U.S. and/or Canadian solvency and regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and own a critical function
