Vice President, Water at Westwood Professional Services

OverviewVice President WaterWestwood Professional Services Inc.The Vice President Water will lead Westwoods Water market sector overseeing water/wastewater infrastructure services such as: wastewater treatment water resources stormwater and other related public infrastructure services. This role will guide market strategy financial performance project delivery and team development across water-focused disciplines. The Vice President is responsible for growing Westwoods footprint in municipal water/wastewater utilities flood control drainage infrastructure hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and treatment facility design. The role emphasizes client satisfaction technical excellence and strategic expansion aligned with the Public Infrastructure Division.Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Market LeadershipDefine and implement the strategic plan for the Water sector including market expansion service-line growth and revenue targets.Monitor regulatory requirements (EPA state environmental agencies FEMA etc.) emerging technologies and funding mechanisms to inform growth strategies.Identify and cultivate opportunities in municipal utilities water districts flood control authorities and regional water agencies.Operational & Financial ManagementLead financial management of the Water sector including P&L oversight budgeting forecasting and risk management.Ensure efficient operations and high-quality project execution across water resources wastewater stormwater and treatment design teams.Implement and promote consistent processes quality systems and safety practices.Business Development & Client ManagementDrive business development initiatives including proposal leadership capture planning and positioning for major water infrastructure programs.Maintain and expand relationships with public utilities water districts municipalities and regulatory agencies.Represent Westwood in water-related industry associations and forums.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead a team of project managers technical specialists and discipline leads across water-focused engineering fields.Support recruitment training mentorship performance management and staff retention.Promote a culture of innovation collaboration and technical excellence within the Water practice.Collaboration & Enterprise AlignmentCollaborate with Transportation Energy Land Development and Corporate Services to leverage synergies and pursue integrated opportunities.Ensure compliance with engineering licensure requirements quality standards and internal governanceRequired ExperienceBachelors degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or related field required; Masters preferred.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (ability to obtain multistate licensure preferred).Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in water resources wastewater stormwater or utility engineering; 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record in municipal or regional water/wastewater programs including planning design and program delivery.Strong financial operational and business development skills.Excellent communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks funding programs and permitting across water-sector agencies.Required Experience:Exec Key Skills Change Management,Financial Services,Growing Experience,Managed Care,Management Experience,Analysis Skills,Senior Leadership,Performance Management,Process Management,Leadership Experience,negotiation,Analytics Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
