Rice School of Law invites applications for a Visiting Professor position for the 2026-27 academic year. The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses, which may include Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Federal Courts. Applicants should possess extensive knowledge of, and experience in, litigating federal criminal cases within the federal court system. Preferred qualifications include prior teaching experience and previous service as a government attorney with a federal agency. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate strong academic credentials, a clear potential for excellence in teaching, and a willingness to engage actively with the law school’s academic community.Required Education and Experience:JD and at least ten years of practice experience.Preferred Qualifications:Preferred qualifications include prior employment as a government attorney at a federal agency.
