Full-timeDescriptionAre you compassionate about animals and have a desire to speak for those who cannot For over 115 years Humane Colorado has been working to end pet homelessness and animal suffering by providing a strong and steadfast voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. As the largest community-based animal welfare organization in the region we care for more than 20000 homeless pets and horses each year at our four facilities and are a national model in animal welfare. If you work well with people too join our team and help us provide that voice. Purpose of Position: Provide project and administrative support to the Volunteer Services department.ResponsibilitiesProvide general administrative support for the departmentAssist current and prospective volunteers as needed throughout the day while providing excellent customer serviceTrack volunteer apparel inventory and place apparel orders as neededPrepare and track all volunteer key cardsSupport onboarding process for prospective volunteersAssist in interviewing prospective volunteers and assigning them to areas of interestProcess and respond to prospective volunteer inquires via phone and emailAssist with department monthly reportingAssist with data entry and database clean-up effortsSend volunteer separation letters and exit surveysMonitor volunteer Facebook groupAssist with volunteer engagement efforts and eventsResolve volunteer issues as they arisePeople CarePeople are the key to fulfilling our mission. Potentially prolonged periods of sitting and repetitive motion. May work in an area with high noise level. Potentially subject to animal bites and scratches.
