JOB DESCRIPTION

This role sits within the broader finance function and will play a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and control over salary, bonus, equity, and benefit-related costs. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with 5-8 years of experience to take ownership of complex compensation-related processes while partnering closely with HR, FP&A, and senior leadership. Description Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting and reporting for employee compensation, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, deferred compensation, and equity-based awards Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses related to compensation expenses Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with a focus on payroll and compensation accruals Partner with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of compensation data Manage accounting for share-based compensation, including stock options and RSUs, under relevant accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP or IFRS) Analyse compensation trends and provide insights to senior management and FP&A teams Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulatory requirements Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor queries Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance controls, and drive operational efficiency Contribute to system implementations or enhancements related to payroll and compensation accounting Profile Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5- 10 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or industry) Strong understanding of compensation-related accounting, including payroll and equity compensation Familiarity with US GAAP (or IFRS) and internal controls frameworks CPA or equivalent qualification preferred Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail Proven ability to work cross-functionally with HR and Finance stakeholders Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Job Offer Competitive annual salary ranging from $135,000 to $175,000.
