Controller / VP Finance - ManufacturingLocation: Rocky Mount / Wilson NC Area (In-office position)About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Controller/VP Finance to lead financial operations for a growing manufacturing company. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic small-to-medium sized company environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.Key Responsibilities:Lead all accounting and financial operations including financial reporting balance sheet management and cash management within GAAPDirect manufacturing financial operations to drive better understanding of cost drivers variances distribution costs and overall financial performanceDevelop and execute budgeting forecasting and variance analysis processesImplement and enhance financial systems and processes to improve reporting capabilities and operational efficiencyManage capital expenditures manufacturing cost accounting gross margin analysis and inventory valuationEnsure compliance with US GAAP manage internal controls and oversee loan/collateral complianceCoordinate external audits and manage relationships with banking partners and public accounting firmsOversee tax reporting requirements (federal state and local) and insurance programsProvide financial analysis and strategic guidance to executive leadershipBuild and develop the finance team while instilling strong fiscal discipline across the organizationRequired Qualifications:BS/BA in Accounting or Finance7-10 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or manufacturing environmentStrong manufacturing/cost accounting expertise with proven leadership capabilitiesComprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reportingExceptional communication and leadership skillsTrack record of implementing process improvements and system enhancementsPreferred Qualifications:CPA certificationPlant Controller or similar manufacturing finance leadership experienceERP system implementation experienceExperience with private equity portfolio companiesLean/Six Sigma backgroundLocal candidates or those with concrete relocation plansWhat We Offer:This role provides the opportunity to join a growing company at a critical stage with significant impact on financial operations and potential for broader strategic involvement.
