Together we do great things.WHO YOU ARE:The Senior Manager Corporate Security Headquarters (SM) will be tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the QTS CEO(s) and all Executive Staff members. This person will work closely with the CEO(s) staff to remain informed and aware of meeting schedules travel schedules and movements of all QTS Senior Executives. This role will also ensure the safety and security of QTS personnel at HQ including the Senior Executives who work at and visit QTS HQ. The SM will manage and oversee third party Executive Protection (EP) Agents when necessary for events and activities and travel with the CEO(s) as required. This will also include the review and security planning for all global QTS sponsored events to include QTS attendees (up to and including the CEO(s) and external attendees. The SM will ensure constant vigilance from the (EP) agents and drive any required improvements. The SM will be engaged with all facets of the Corporate Security team and Intelligence Team to ensure awareness of any threats to QTS and any QTS sites where the Executive Team members are based or visiting.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Management of the QTS Executive Protection program to include coordinating with third party security resources for Executive Protection managing the budget and scheduling of servicesWorking with QTS Intelligence functions (internal and external resources) to develop briefing packets for QTS Executive travel especially with regard to domestic and international travel requirementsProvide threat briefings for Executive team members which include trends guidance and best practicesCreate reports and prepare executive level presentations on the status of physical security operationsLiaise and engage directly with QTS HQ Executives to include the CEO(s) and those from the Finance Legal People Services and other departmentsEngage with Executive Protection teams from other private sector companies as well as government officialsPlan organize and strategize goals and objectives cooperatively with security leadershipAssume 24/7/365 availability to respond appropriately to all requests for emergency and non-emergency assistance in a professional mannerEvaluate and drive continuous improvement of contract EP agent operations through the use of key performance indicators and collaborative improvement plansHave knowledge and familiarization with all emergency response plans and evacuation procedures where CEO(s) and Executive Staff are working and travelingDevelop and maintain working relationships with Federal State and Local Law Enforcement as well as Fire and EMSWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experienceTen or more years managing security operations and personnelSeven or more years Project Management experienceSeven or more years experience in Executive Protection ServicesFive of more years of experience in working with security vendors and contractorsMust be able to travel between 25% - 50%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Certification from a reputable executive protection training academyState and local license to carry concealed firearmCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationsProficiency in defensive tactics and advanced driving skillsExperience in military law enforcement or prior executive protectionA high degree of situational awareness for recognizing and mitigating threats.The ability to perform advance planning threat assessment and risk managementHigh level of physical readiness You must be able to pass a comprehensive background check which may include a drug test credit check and criminal history reviewMust be available for work during nights weekends and holidays and willing to relocate for assignmentsAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearanceKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proficient with Microsoft Office toolsStrong verbal and written communications skills in a professional work settingAbility to use professional presentation skills for the most Senior Executives of the companyExperience with detailed report writingAbility to engage and establish relationships and maintain working relationships with Federal State Local and international Law Enforcement agencies as well as Fire and EMSConfidentiality in all meetings conversations and personnel mattersTHE PERKS (and these are just a few!):Employer Paid Benefits 401K with Employer MatchQRest SabbaticalEmployee Stock PurchaseQTS scholarship for dependentsEagle Club award trip eligibilityPaid volunteer daysTuition assistance parental leave and military leave assistanceTOTAL REWARDSThis role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical dental vision life and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending and HSA accounts; paid holidays; paid time off; paid volunteer days; employee assistance program; tuition assistance; parental leave; military leave assistance; QTS scholarship for dependents; wellness program and other company benefits.
