This executive will drive strategy and execution across the full application software lifecycle, partnering closely with hardware, product, and business partner teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.The VP will serve as a technical and organizational leader , ensuring engineering excellence, shaping modern architectures, and scaling high-performing teams that deliver products with measurable customer and business impact. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the application software vision, roadmap, and architecture aligned to enterprise strategy and product portfolios. Technical Ownership: Drive architectural direction across cloud, edge, and device software, ensuring seamless integration with hardware platforms. Product Development: Partner with product management, UX, and hardware engineering to translate customer needs into differentiated software solutions. Engineering Excellence: Champion modern software engineering practices, CI/CD, DevOps, test automation, observability, and agile delivery at scale. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a global engineering team of 200+ engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineering, business unit partners, operations, and customer support to ensure robust, reliable, and secure products. Talent Development: Attract, retain, and develop top software and hardware-aware engineering talent; build strong succession pipelines for leadership. Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce best practices in software security, compliance, and reliability. Metrics & Outcomes: Define and deliver on KPIs around productivity, velocity, quality, uptime, customer satisfaction, and financial impact. Required Qualifications 15+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience, with at least 7+ years in executive leadership roles. Proven success leading large-scale engineering teams (200+ engineers) in a Fortune 500 or comparable global enterprise environment. Deep technical expertise in application software development , with strong knowledge of cloud services, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms . Strong grounding in hardware/software integration , device drivers, embedded systems, or similar cross-domain experience. Demonstrated architectural leadership with modern technology stacks, programming frameworks, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Track record of delivering customer-facing software products at scale, balancing speed, quality, and cost. Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence at C-suite and board levels. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline; advanced degree (MS/MBA/PhD) preferred.
