Were looking for a dynamic storyteller to join our team as a WakeupNews Anchor-someone who can deliver trusted compelling news across all platforms and connect with audiences in meaningful ways.What Youll DoPresent news and content across broadcast digital and social platforms with clarity and authenticity.Uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity and production quality.Write and deliver stories that are accurate concise and engaging.Collaborate with producers and team members to shape impactful newscasts.Contribute to writing editing research and content development.Report from the field and conduct interviews as assigned.Respond quickly to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.Represent the station at community events and promotional activities.Engage audiences through involvement in WIVB and creation of social media videos to expand reach and brand presence.Take on special projects and additional duties as needed.Salary - $70000 to $80000What Were Looking ForBachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years of experience in news reporting or anchoring.Exceptional on-air presence and strong communication skills-comfortable ad-libbing when needed.Excellent news judgment and deep knowledge of local national and global issues.Proven ability to lead mentor and inspire team members.Skilled in multitasking meeting deadlines and thriving under pressure.Tech-savvy with proficiency in newsroom systems and digital tools.Valid drivers license and clean driving record.Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights weekends and breaking news situations.
