JOB DESCRIPTION
Warehouse Associate
This position involves primarily manual labor, where the main responsibilities include grabbing completed pallets of stock, moving them to designated areas, and manually wrapping pallets. This will constitute the majority of the role for weeks, if not long-term. Daily tasks will also involve consistent use of a sit-down forklift, lifting items weighing over 50 pounds, wrapping and stickering pallets, and reading, scanning, and recording barcode information. Additional duties include repacking or re-boxing cases according to customer instructions and repairing and re-boxing damaged goods as required.
Responsibilities
- Move completed pallets of stock to specific areas and manually wrap them.
- Consistently use a sit-down forklift.
- Lift items weighing over 50 pounds regularly.
- Wrap and sticker pallets consistently.
- Read, scan, and record barcode information.
- Repack or re-box cases as per customer instructions.
- Repair and re-box damaged goods as required.
Essential Skills
- Experience in forklift operation, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
- Ability to move and wrap pallets for the majority of the day.
- Shipping and receiving knowledge.
- Capability to read SKU# or PRO# for shipments, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must be open to busy spurts of work and potential downtimes of 15-45 minutes.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Capability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently.
- Proficiency in using proper lifting techniques.

Work Environment
This role is within a third-party logistics company, working in a large-scale warehouse. You will handle a wide array of products, ranging from COAST flashlights and knives, Nike shoes and apparel, PLANAR monitors, food products, to aerospace items.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
