Warehouse Process Specialist
Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Warehouse Process Specialist in our El Paso, TX, location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing warehouse layouts and processes to enhance operational efficiency and support our logistics and supply chain objectives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in engineering principles, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Design and optimize warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and improve operational efficiency. Conduct thorough analyses of current warehouse processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and IT, to implement effective warehouse solutions. Ensure optimized functioning of the warehouse and achieve maximum efficiency & space utilization. Measure and analyze warehousing performance (cost and service) and implement corrective actions. Utilize data-driven approaches and engineering tools to evaluate and improve warehouse performance metrics, including throughput, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment rates. Develop and maintain documentation related to warehouse design, processes, and optimization projects. Conduct simulations and modeling to assess the impact of proposed changes on overall warehouse operations. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in warehouse design and optimization. Provide recommendations for equipment, technology, and automation solutions to enhance warehouse operations. Train and support warehouse staff in new processes and technologies as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. 3+ years of experience in warehouse design, optimization, or supply chain engineering. Proficiency in warehouse architecture design (WADM) and engineering design software (AutoCAD). Familiar with MPH (Material Provide Handling) and PFEP (Plan for Every Part). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. ERP knowledge (SAP).
