Warehouse Supervisor, 2nd Shift at PPG

As a Warehouse Supervisor 2nd Shift you will execute the shipping of finished goods and manage the hourly associates throughout the shift. You will oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of the output of group leaders and associates working on your team. You will exhibit a working knowledge of all machinery equipment and processes. You will work at the Oak Creek Plant and report to the Materials Operations Manager.Responsibilities:Enforce safety procedures to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the jobEnsure that environmental health and safety guidelines are followedAchieve daily production and OEE target by scheduling and assigning personnel establishing priorities and monitoring progressResolve problems by analyzing data investigating issues identifying solutions and recommending or executing actionsCommunicate job expectations and ensure that employees are performing up to expectations in both productivity and quality by coaching and counseling.Periodically assess the status of employees in training and existing employees for skill developmentEfficient and high-quality organization of logistics and warehouse operationsAnalysis and optimization of warehousing and other logistics processesInventory management and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machineryEnsure movement and proper storage of goodsManage and control documentation related to warehouse operationsMaintain warehouse order and promptly resolving any arising issuesQualifications:High school/GED required and 10 years of shipping/warehousing experienceOR bachelors degree with 1 to 5 years of shipping/warehousing experienceLeadership and/or management experienceA solid knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle or SAPCompetency in Excel and data managementPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
