Warehouse Supervisor at Arizon RFID Technology (Cayman) Co.
Job Description
Role Overview
You run the floor. This role oversees day-to-day warehouse operations at our new Houston site—receiving, inventory control, order processing, rework coordination, and outbound shipments. You will keep the warehouse compliant, efficient, and aligned with group-level standards while the site scales.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts; lead cycle counts and root-cause any discrepancies.
- Monitor material handling, warehouse layout, and space utilization to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure all transactions (inbound/outbound/movements) are recorded promptly and accurately.
Production & Rework Coordination
- Collaborate with Manufacturing / Rework leads (Taiwan team alignment) on work orders, priorities, and timelines.
- Allocate manpower and adjust workflow based on daily demand.
- Track progress of rework jobs and escalate risks early.
People & Workflow Management
- Coordinate and direct a small group of warehouse operators as needed while remaining fully hands-on yourself.
- Provide on-the-job guidance and training on SOPs, equipment use, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Set daily priorities, delegate tasks where appropriate, and ensure completion with consistent follow-through.
Safety & Compliance
- Own OSHA and site safety practices—PPE, equipment usage, forklift safety, incident reporting.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, zoning, and hazard-free conditions.
- Ensure compliance with company, local, and federal guidelines for storage and handling.
Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inventory and transaction records using available tools (initially manual logs or spreadsheets).
- Prepare basic daily/weekly reports on inventory, shipments, rework progress, and productivity.
- Support audits and documentation requests from group finance, QA, and operations teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with site leadership on operational priorities, manpower planning, and workflow needs.
- Work with teams in other regions (e.g., Taiwan and Yangzhou) to align on SOPs, material flow, and rework requirements.
- Partner with Finance on inventory reporting, adjustments, and month-end accuracy.
- Collaborate with Quality teams on defect identification, rework instructions, and outgoing QC.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
- 3–5 years of hands-on warehouse experience (receiving, inventory control, outbound operations).
- Comfortable working in a new-site environment where processes, tools, and systems are still being built.
- Ability to coordinate and guide warehouse operators while also performing daily tasks personally.
- Strong understanding of warehouse fundamentals: inbound/outbound flow, material handling, and basic inventory controls.
- Able to maintain accurate documentation and logs using manual tools (spreadsheets, paper forms) until formal systems are implemented.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience supporting rework, light production, or quality-related workflows.
- Exposure to cross-regional coordination.
- Prior involvement in setting up warehouse processes or layouts from scratch.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
